Managing the science garden continues as we have now re-planted the topiaries (Duranta Geisha Girl) and have re-planted out the proposed hedge. Experience having taught us that the Tom Thumbs couldn’t stand up to the summer heat, we have chosen Westringia Jervis Gem and Westringia Lilac and Lace to take their place. These natives to Western Australia should do well, and like a good hair-cut, so look out for the hedge developing over the coming months.
General maintenance continues with mowing, raking, watering and adding a fish fertilizer every two weeks to the watering cans to boost plant growth. Our gerberas are enjoying their second flush of flowers, just in time for the ANZAC service.
