Smith Family Learning Clubs
The Smith Family is a children’s charity helping Australian children to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.
The Smith Family Learning Clubs provide a safe and supportive out-of-school learning environment where primary students can participate in activities that develop their social skills. Through regular attendance at our Learning Clubs, students are able to enhance their learning and development skills.
Students’ involvement with Learning Clubs enables them to access local volunteer tutors who have appropriate skills and knowledge to support Club activities. Learning Clubs aim to increase student engagement with learning by increasing students’ self-confidence and confidence in their school work.
Students are nominated by their classroom teacher depending on what the focus for the club is each term. Parental consent is required but the club is free of charge.
